Ann Fraser studied drawing and painting at Edinburgh College of Art and went on to specialise in Botanical painting at The Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh under John Mooney and Paul Nesbitt.

She held her first solo exhibition in London in 1991 and since then has shown regularly, mostly in Edinburgh and London. She was awarded a Silver, Silver Gilt and in 2010 a Gold Medal for her paintings by the Royal Horticultural Society, London.

Her work is collected both in the UK and abroad. Of particular note is her work “The Black Border” that features in Contemporary Botanical Artists: The Shirley Sherwood Collection, an exhibition that has been shown around the world, most recently at the Smithsonian Museum in Washington.
