Angela was born in London in 1958 and studied art at Camberwell School of Art and subsequently at Joensuu College in Finland. In addition to her painting and drawing studies she has BA (Hons) in Music and English from the University of Keele, a Postgraduate diploma in Music from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and a Postgraduate Diploma in Music Performance from Goldsmiths College at London University.

She has exhibited widely since 2000 and has been involved heavily with Dumfries and Galloway Fine Art Society for a number of years. She has held a number of solo shows, mostly in her Dumfries and Galloway homeland, but also had representation in many mixed shows elsewhere in Scotland and in London.

Angela enjoys the changing moods of the hills and sea, often created by the effects of changing light, where we are treated to a more intimate glimpse of land by a fleeting highlight or a glimmer of silver on the horizon. Fairly strong tonal contrasts are often evident in these landscapes. She aims to give the viewer a sense of “being there” and a real sense of the natural environment.
